Tab Trade — The Short Version
TabTrade opened in March 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.
The BlackBull connection tells you something. It says the founder knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But preferable to a random name you cannot trace.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres institutional desks use. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.
Market coverage: FX, stock indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, shares, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a broker that is a few months old, that coverage is not narrow.
The Software
You get: MT5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Both platforms from a single account. Most brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.
MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders find it more natural once they try it.
Direct FIX connectivity is there for automated strategies but requires the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is said to be in the works. That would make the platform set once it is live.
What You Pay
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. $0 to start. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the raw spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your all-in cost can sit under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade does not.
VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, negotiated fees. Not for the average person. Do not worry about it unless you trade institutionally.
How Fast Are the Fills
The speed is where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. Most retail brokers quote hundreds of milliseconds.
Should you care? If you scalp, absolutely. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you swing trade, you will not notice. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That is something about priorities.
Put together that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering makes sense. Not many platforms at this price point run Equinix connectivity.
The FSRA Question
Here is the part you need to be straight about. The broker is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.
However. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is expensive. Scam brokers do not invest in Equinix connectivity. That does not make it safe. It should be part of your decision.
The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal makes sense comes down to your priorities.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade offers a welcome bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Usual deposit match. You deposit, they add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Review the fine print before you deposit.
